Not A Fan Of Needles? Try Cupping!

It may look like you were attacked by an octopus, but this Asian modality known as Cupping can literally suck away the aches and pains.
Cupping is similar to massage, but instead of pushing in - we're pulling out. It works by creating a vacuum inside a glass cup - quickly inserting and removing fire and then putting the cup on the body.

This vacuum sucks up the skin, increasing circulation and bringing fresh blood to the area. The blood coming up to the surface is what gives Cupping it's recognizable badges of health.

Watch my interview and cupping demonstration with celebrity trainer, Johnny Pearman.

Cupping is not painful and the marks usually disappear within a few days, unless there is a lot of stagnation (stagnation = pain) in the area OR if your circulation isn't moving as smoothly as it should.

In addition to general aches and pains, Cupping is very effective in treating a wide array of health conditions. It reduces inflammation, removes toxins, and can even help with weight loss.

Cupping can also address:
  • The common cold
  • Respiratory illnesses (asthma, bronchitis)
  • Arthritis and joint pain
  • IBS and gastro-intestinal issues
  • Fatigue
  • Back, neck and shoulder pain
  • Muscular spasm
Even celebrities get cupped!
After a Cupping treatment, you definitely want to keep the area covered and warm. And you also want to keep an eye on those marks, to see how long they take to go away. This is information that your acupuncturist will want to hear, as it helps to determine the frequency of the Cupping treatments.

Not a fan of needles? No problem. I offer Cupping Massage as a stand alone treatment.
